Impact of inflammatory markers, dread diseases and cycle threshold (Ct) Values in COVID-19 progression

The link between the inflammatory marker and SARS-CoV-2 cycle threshold (Ct) with disease progression remains undefined, mainly in coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19). Therefore, this study aimed to identify several markers (Ferritin, LDH, D-dimer), Ct values predict outcomes hospitalized COVID-19 Iraqi patients. A case was performed on 426 patients guess cutoff of that were detected by a real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) specific auto-analyzer instrument. Significantly increased levels critical severe compared mild-moderate (p < 0.001). Compared aging severity, are significantly related severity Finding value negatively associated Ferritin, D-dimer 0.001); moreover, concentrations higher during first ten days. correlate some relevant clinical parameters inflammation. Higher D dimer, S. Ferritin LDH older age COVID-19. area under ROC curve indicates serum ferritin highest excellent predictor for severity.
